The coastal cleaning challenge held last April 13 and 14 ended with the collection of 80 kilos of waste

The coastal cleaning challenge organized on the weekend of April 13 and 14 by One Planet One Live, Fixi and the Insular Council of Formentera resulted in a total of 80 kilos of waste collected, 20 in Cala Saona and 60 in Cala en Baster.

As explained by One Planet One Live sources, it was not a clean-up in use in which you stay at a point on the coast and whose objective is to clean as much as possible, but the challenge is to gather people to raise awareness about the waste found all over the coast and run and clean up throughout the day.

It should be remembered that co-collecting ('plogging') is the practice that combines outdoor exercise with waste collection. In other words, it's about taking advantage of any outdoor physical activity for the collection of waste found on beaches, mountains or cities.
